Tutorial Featured On Dawanda.com!

My "Wrinkled Rose Tutorial" is featured on Dawanda's blog!  That's great, this is one of my favorite places on the net! For those of you who don't know Dawanda yet- check it out- it's a popular European site for handmade products and has a English, German and French platform. First Time Cowl Pants

Alright, time to prove I learn new things! And I can get so excited!! When I first saw this kind of pants on Lakshmi's blog I instantly realized their awesomeness so...here we are!:)) Super good news : She wrote a tutorial about how to make these, so go on, make a fab pair for yourself! It's not complicated and her instructions are all you need, I swear! Err ... and the usual: fabric, a sewing machine, elastic for waist ... I bought 3m of this lovely fabric... ...but ending up having enough for a scarf too which bring us to another good news :) : I'll write a simple tute for this simple scarf this week! Other details: I added a stitch on the sides of the waist piece, along the side seam, using matching thread on top and elastic thread for the bobbin.  I inserted 1 inch wide elastic for the waist band.  The leg opening doesn't have bias strip - I just overlocked, folded and stitched.  To get the top of the leg piece match the width of the ...

A Bit of Shawl Magic! ☃

Before taking these pics I didn’t realize how amazing this almost classical shawl is! If I were in some chilly climate I would enjoy wearing something like this, wrapping it in different ways and feeling cozy, inventive and warm;)  I grew up among amazing triangular white shawls knitted by my grandmother – her fingers would breed, in the middle of winter an entire icy botanical garden – delicate flowers and leaves in  neat rows as if they were there since the beginning of time – such real fine pieces of jewelry!  This shawl I started back in Romania and it was supposed to get back to Romania last Christmas:D hopefully it will get there before This Christmas:D With friends like me, who needs... hmmh… other friends?!
