Give me five! ...errr...four!

Now you can tell your pet buddy "Gimme 5!" and it will know where to place that perfect hi5! (hi4...) With Valentine's day coming and everything, I guess this would make a lovely thought for your special 4 fingered dear one! You wouldn't want to let your cute pet feel lonely on Valentine's day, would you?;) Perfect for a walk in the park in the park with your doggie! Then hurry to work and reach for your bus ticket without having to take them off - that's the advantage of these funny cute fingerless gloves! ...Or funky armwarmers! Wear them lengthy and lacey or rolled and chunky! They have crochet chain separators between fingers so they don't slip up or down!

Black Shawl

Here's a  shawl I made last year, one for me this time! Lacy, soft and very comfy, suitable for occasions and not only! Rectangular shape, knitted on oversized needles. Another reversible super-easy pattern, I quickly saw it growing before my eyes! I will not fold it in three, make it into a hat and then a take a rabbit out of it! Not this time…:)) Just this: Depending on what yarn-needles combo you find, try this pattern  *(YO, K2tog, K2)* or *(YO, K2tog)* – see which one suits you best! Happy knitting!... Ok, pattern below.... Cast on 40 sts. Knit 1 row Knit pattern row: K1, (YO, K2tog) repeat between ( ) 19 times, K1✿ Repeat the pattern row until your shawl is at desired length. or until you (almost) finish the yarn you bought! Or until you get tired of knitting! Mine ended up being abt 2 metres and all the mentioned circumstances were met! Knit 1 row. Cast off loosely. ✿ for same type o...

Green Kerchief ☞ Asherton Reversible ☾ ☽ Pattern

This started as a "gift order". I've heard voices doubting that knitted gifts are still appreciated, but if you're willing to make a little compromise regarding the surprise element, it becomes just a matter of finding out what piece of knit that someone you are ready to knit for desires! Then surprise him/her!         Couldn't resist the temptation to try this and take pics along with it - it's what Indian women wear when the weather gets chillier.                    Ok...this is funny... very funny... Just funny:|                  Eh now I would definitely wear it like this! Suits me better in any case!         But if the head needs it, then better like this... Tied under the hair and sometimes tied ag...

A Bit of Shawl Magic! ☃

Before taking these pics I didn’t realize how amazing this almost classical shawl is! If I were in some chilly climate I would enjoy wearing something like this, wrapping it in different ways and feeling cozy, inventive and warm;)  I grew up among amazing triangular white shawls knitted by my grandmother – her fingers would breed, in the middle of winter an entire icy botanical garden – delicate flowers and leaves in  neat rows as if they were there since the beginning of time – such real fine pieces of jewelry!  This shawl I started back in Romania and it was supposed to get back to Romania last Christmas:D hopefully it will get there before This Christmas:D With friends like me, who needs... hmmh… other friends?! (image source) I came up with the pattern  as I was knitting it, if you reproduce a pattern you know how it’s going to turn out, while if you do it as you go there’s always some surprise! Fee...

❀ ✿ Neat Knit Christmas Tree ✿ ❀ DIY, Recycle... you know☻

Yep, Christmas is close and that changes everything! Even the theme of my posts- today we get our knitting needles moving ! Last year I made this heart warming tree and I promise you can make it quickly if you are a little familiar with knitting - I am more than familiar but looking at my pattern descriptions feels like trying to read hieroglyphs or a letter from the future rather than a letter from the past - did I really get hold of this nerdy knitting language last year? ☺ Darn right!   (Those of you who are familiar with knitting abbrev. and diagrams will pfff! into laughter considering the amount of info I needed to explain my tree!) Check here what is what http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Knitting_abbreviations and if anything is not clear pls ask - I will try and remember what I meant by attempting a lil Christmas tree this year too! A necessary selection: type of stitch (st= stitch) k means a knit stitch a...

Orange Ice Cream In Jeans Waffle

Mmmm yummilicious! Starring: Orange Acrylic as Orange Ice Cream and Jeans Straps (recycled) as Jeans Waffle, ...with plenty of savour added by using alternate sizes of knitting needles:) The jeans strips were zig-zagged on the edge for long life and best appearance! You can accessorize using it as a scarf or as a belt, it's definitely a conversation starter:)
