... and if I may say so, my favorite so far... I love them all, but this one is the fluffiest and most exuberant! I cut a strip of chiffon  full width (110cm) and 20 cms in length. Then on bias I made these curly ribs using invisible (nylon) thread and a tight zig-zag, all on the same side of the fabric. You can also use normal thread and, why not, contrasting colors! I folded the strip in 2 lengthwise, the ribs being inside,  and stitched the edge. Turned inside out this long cylinder - the ribs are now on the inside, the assembling stitch on the inside. Then I followed the steps mentioned in my first rose tutorial without pressing it first. Alright, time to prove I learn new things! And I can get so excited!! When I first saw this kind of pants on Lakshmi's blog I instantly realized their awesomeness so...here we are!:)) Super good news : She wrote a tutorial about how to make these, so go on, make a fab pair for yourself! It's not complicated and her instructions are all you need, I swear! Err ... and the usual: fabric, a sewing machine, elastic for waist ... I bought 3m of this lovely fabric... ...but ending up having enough for a scarf too which bring us to another good news :) : I'll write a simple tute for this simple scarf this week!         If you've seen my wrinkled roses in my previous post you probably think like me - wrinkles?--->they're so much fun!!! so YAY for wrinkles!≧◡≦         I already wrote a tutorial for my kind of rose here .         Now we'll just have to undo some plastic surgery and get some proper wrinkles! cut a strip of your chosen fabric, mine is 12 cms in length 90 cms in width machines's settings: highest tension, biggest step; fold the strip in 2, stitch close to both long edges gather pulling the upper thread till you get something like this; tie threads at each end using a pin or other methods (do you use other methods?) turn the strip inside out it should look something like this press with steam and then Voila! Doesn't it make my exuberance necklace look even more gorgeous?

                 I found a new place to take photos, finally white background!          I wanted to show you this new set of scarf and rose - and I enjoyed experimenting with the ways in which it can be worn...        No, I haven't picked up guitar lessons:P I'm just shamelessly using this beautiful guitar to accessorize my brand new necklace:D I thought the colours match so... nevermind if it's not even plugged in, I look like I know what I'm doing:)) I must have been working at this necklace at least 4 consecutive days... The silk is interfaced and entirely hand-painted in yellow, orange, magenta, pearl metallic red and gold. The pattern is the same as the one I used for the Queen of Hearts Necklace . The sun and moon have zardozi metal embroidery. The moon has the same kind of metal beads on both sides while the sun has 2 different kinds of metal wire.                    A new necklace that follows in the "neck"steps of my Exuberance Necklace ! Introducing new shapes, fabric painting, zardozi metal embroidery and beads!        Lots of creative ways in which it can be worn! Featuring: little embroidered scallops pink-on-pink pearl olive painted edges a pattern that melts curves and corners 4 different types of metal chains that are traditionally used for a special type of embroidery called zardozi stitched and glued olive beads the heart which has the same design mirrored on both faces And 2 pictures from the making of:           I hope you like it, I definitely enjoyed working on this and experimenting with all the new elements!         Painting the edges was quite challenging, I had to take many breaks and let the paint dry before ...

        Oh yes, the fabric necklace! As I said before, I am fascinated with the small worlds and lives of accessories... I don't plan them, but I let them happen when they ask me to ... The first one of these I made a few days ago and for the second one I perfected the technique and the results were really pleasing: less time spent, better manipulation of fabrics, a well thought compact construction for the pattern! For more avant-garde charm I added some tinkling golden bells! It can be worn with any of the 2 sides on top around the neck and the sides can twirl around each other at any point giving more possibilities! Also on Etsy:

       So far my closest claim to minimalism! The glittering plastic ring makes the perfect closing trick for this scarf - so perfect to go with its colour that it didn't ask for more. Coz only when you know what lil is, you can do more. And then you compare and decide that less is more. Tricky indeed. Like the golden fog of sunset covering like a blanket what's soon to be covered by a second blanket of darkness. Good night over a smile. The glittering feeling of feeling good when warm and cozy.         Lately I've been wishing  that I could make one item a day and not work on a design for 2 weeks - so minimal items seemed like a good idea. I see so many simple simply square scarves on Etsy, but can I ? I tried and started with that in mind - but complicating is what I do ! Fortunatelly, as I got to work on it for a few hours over 2 days I didn't get enough time to change the route for more than... 5-6 times? No wonder a top takes 2 weeks!          But ... there are so many ideas, it's like no matter which you pick, you find yourself at the new crossroads soon. I can't use them all in one item and though I think I'm saving them for later, I know that "later" the same thing occurs and the choices multiply... That's in one of the "good days" I assume. "Bad days" means linear decisions that feel like dead ends. And there are no in-betweens. " Good days" means I might actually get something...
