Bag Dreaming of An Upgrade...

We'll call this the "BEFORE" tote...


(one layer tote bag... notice the artificial light in the pic, dark uninteresting background -I know how to make BEFOREs look bad, don't I?)

I needed to add some lining... I happened to have the green shade so I could easily picture a lovely AFTER:D ... and then I thought I won't share with you all just a lining, that an inner zippered pocket would make things more interesting...

 

A zip closing the bag would have been nice and I already had these different length black zips- Ah I love when things I bought "just in case" come in handy... This was one of those times...

And ta-da! Scrunchies for water bottles at both ends :D I'm really proud of the upgrade in functionality:P



So...That's the "AFTER"☟... better no?...gorgeous Simona modelling, natural light, no flash etc  (͡- ̮͡๏)

    Yes upgrades are so cool!, the scrunchy for waterbottle is really clever. i have done that on the outside of tote earlier, never on the inside, this gave me a new insight!

    Guess what i came back to sewing (after about 7yr long hiatus once i was a software engineer remember!) by sewing BAGS!

After coming back from my vacation I felt that my every day wardrobe needs refreshing. But from thinking to doing something about it - there's a long way! I had the floral fabric for a while now. The Story Of The Exuberance Necklace

  Once upon a time... after the big bang anyways... there was a sketch of a top for which I wanted to use  contrasting colors. Or maybe I bought the fabrics and then made this sketch... in any case, mesmerized by these iridescent shades of purple and green I took 2 m of each - let's call them gred and purpink. But the flow of this silk cotton and the idea of my top didn't really get along or I lost enthusiasm somewhere along the way, anyways after some time I was left with 2 m in bits and pieces of purpink and of course gred. The contrast inspired me however to try something twisted both literally and figuratively- and it implied thick cotton fusible canvas and machine embroidery on the edge- which seemed like a tough task for my sewing machine from the very beginning but it wasn't enough for me to give up:D.
